I left Leicester for Manchester almost 20 years ago to pursue my childhood dream and become a successful fashion designer. Luckily for me my dream came true, I’ve had a very successful career as a ladieswear designer working with various great brands and suppliers in Manchester and London for over 16 years.

I got to a point in my fashion career where I was ready for a change and a new goal in life. My 2nd dream was to be an entrepreneur, I wanted to fulfil this dream, but wasn’t quite sure how and what in, but still keeping it creative. Coming back home to Leicester after such a long time away and seeing how much the city had changed in the way of new eateries almost everywhere was that light bulb PING moment into the challenge I was going to take on. I’ve always enjoyed and appreciated good food in the way of dining out, cooking, travelling and trying new cuisines. I come from a family of food lovers, which meant family get togethers growing up always involved a variety of delicious homemade Indian dishes by our mothers.
My own experience with improving my health by eating more of a plant-based diet, along with moving back home to Leicester and being fed my mother's homemade curries influenced my decision to sell only plant - based food, but fresh homemade plant - based Indian food and I’d seen nothing in Leicester that was comparable to what I wanted to create by combining fashion and food.


What is your food philosophy?
My food philosophy is fresh homemade plant - based food using a balance of ingredients in a health - conscious way. Love what you eat & be what you eat to live a long healthy life.

What does conscious living mean to you?
To me, it means making deliberate choices to live a better lifestyle to improve your physical and mental well - being through your diet, activities and decisions. A balanced and nutritious diet results in a happier, healthier you.

My goal is to provide you with some solid plant - based recipes using whole ingredients that are seasonally sourced and easy to prepare. I know the feeling of not having enough time to cook a nutritious meal, while having the desire to eat real food and that’s why all my recipes are approachable, adaptable and use easy to find ingredients.
